When she was known to the world as Bruce Jenner and was a world class decathlon athlete she was like an all American hero in the late 70s and that image permeated through for quite awhile for those of us who are older.
Disagree. Rowling is and always has been far more influential than Jenner. Jenner's managed to tank her reputation by taking increasingly right-wing stances and being seen as 'nasty' while Rowling has somehow held on to her image as a 'reasonable liberal' among most of the general public. That's something I think is being slowly lost but Rowling still remains much better liked.

But when trans individuals are bigoted against other trans individuals, that's definitely worse than just your garden variety POS bigot.It isn't worse, it's the same. Saying someone is morally worse because they're trans isn't reasonable at all, and I don't think saying racial minorities who are racist are worse than racists who benefit from racism would go over well.
