Ive gotta finish off the rest of the Eden questline and the "Safekeeping" yellow quest. after that i -think- its a straight shot through to the end of the Endwalker MSQ and even patches with no detours?You'll have to do role quests again, but the side content in EW has no major story tie ins. The trial series is built into the Patch MSQ so you're doing that whether you like it or not.

Just FYI TC, expansion trailers are meant for after you've finished the .4 patch. But man, god damn was the 5.3 fight and everything that lead up to it absolutely fucking amazing and perfect. Even the battle and everything in it is perfect.yeah, but also I watched them all before ever playing to begin with. i attribute at least some of my initial desire to play to how good those trailers are. i probably would have played eventually though just due to how acclaimed FF14 and in particular Shadowbringers is

Nothing tops Amaurot and Emet-Selch thoughReal and true. 5.3 is definitely a close second with IMO the Final Steps of Faith as 3rd.
