A YouTube channel which I do not wish to advertise had a picture of the mystery opponent in Godzilla x Kong. It's for that reason that I saw the film on Friday and stayed offline 48 hours in advance of it.

Of all the bullshit rules that YouTube has of late, why can't they make spoiling a secret within three weeks of a film's release cause for taking down a video?
yes for games. idrc about movies anymore
My fate was the grandest, most brilliant of them all.

That's a pain to have to go through. My sister did the same for Game of Thrones.
Nah ill look up spoilers sometimes on purpose

Is the Godzilla Kong reveal a massive surprise?

never mind thought you meant the newest one
while driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and I instinctively swerved to miss it, thanks a lot Mario Kart.
I stay off youtube for a bit. Because yeah within the day you'll get assholes spoiling things.

And of course, clicking on the video to down vote it counts as "engagement" (Especially if you also comment) so all that tells YouTube is "More spoilers please"!

Most of the time, it worked out pretty painlessly. I was working nights at the time, so Id miss the first run on AMC, but Id get home in time to make something for dinner and then catch the second showing at like 1AM or whatever. There were a couple of nights where I just wanted to sleep and I had to stay disconnected until I managed to get around to watching it the next day, though.
No, but I have the self-control to not look spoilers up

It is the new one. Unless there's a new trailer I missed that gave away who the mystery opponent is. In which case, that's on me and not the movie.

Then there's literally no point to have a downvote button. I wonder how long it will be before YouTube removes the "Not Interested" and "Don't Recommend Channel" features.

The point of this topic is spoilers appearing / being suggested in the thumbnails. It's not about you looking for spoilers. It's about spoilers looking for you.
In that case sure, I guess

Nope. With games I've sometimes been extra careful about where I go online, but never outright stayed offline.
Do, or do not. There is no Trumble.
No, I don't care about spoilers or movie releases.

Good choice.
Insert video of dbag spoiling Harry Potter book. You dont need to be online in order for someone to spoil it for you.
Italian, French, German.
I generally avoid trailers for anything I know I'm going to watch. I like to go in as blind as possible.
"It's good to be the king."
I tend to intentionally spoil myself for things because I don't want to live in fear of the internet for days or weeks on end.

Pretty sure it's in some (maybe the most recent?) trailer. There was definitely one monster I didn't recognize in there for a very hot second.

Okay, I guess it's on me then. I thought the final trailer was released a while ago.

"Nooooooo you bitch! YOU BITCH!"

I wonder if whoever said that knew they became part of a fad?

But honestly yeah, dick move to shout the damn spoiler outside the theater.

The only movies I care enough to not want spoiled are small enough that you won't see them mentioned without actively searching.

Yeah I couldn't care less about spoilers, some people get absolutely mental about that shit.
Oh, wow.

I just received an " x character defeats y character scene" recommendation for Godzilla x Kong. I'm glad I didn't see that until after the movie.
I've avoided Twitter a few times to avoid spoilers, but it hasn't really happened recently (I guess the closest example would be Dune 2? Except I already had seen the lynch adaptation of the book so I knew the broad strokes of what happened)

No, I don't care about movies nearly enough to change my daily routine.
This is where cool people write stuff.
No, I don't really watch brand new films. Haven't seen any released in 2023/2024.
