PS+ was always better than GamePass. Xbros flexed the GamePass so hard without even looking into whether Sony had a better equivalent.
PS+ wasn't designed around Entire Software Library Access as a Subscription.
It was designed around the traditional Software Sales model & supporting the online infrastructure.
What OLD Xbox Live was.
Any free games was a bonus / extra when traditional sales floundered or a deal was struck with the publisher.
