Mostly agree. I dont like them but like Dream On and Toys in the Attic. Always weirded out when bands are writing teen anthems well into their 40s. Theres some late era Bon Jovi songs that should be embarrassing.

That's because they started hiring pop songwriters to get them hits instead of writing songs themselves

pop music is generally popular for a reason. obv there is plenty of shit pop music, but much of it is incredibly catchy/good lyrics/amazing singing

taylor swift is really talented and her songs are usually great

rita ora has an incredible voice

That, my friend is sacrilege

Never been a big Floyd fan. Thats really the only song I care for.

Now manson did a cover and I used to love manson and will say it's shit. Musically it's ok but mansons vocals don't do it justice. Also to point out I'm not a huge Korn fan. There's maybe 3 or 4 songs I'll listen to.

My brother as a joke put a free classified ad in the magazine they gave for free at record stores for a I hate NKOTB club, $5. People actually sent him checks. But he got so much more mail from fans, much of it from Scandinavia and E. Europe. 2, 3, sometimes longer letters about how great they are and how he shouldnt be a hater.

I say I have a broad taste in music. There is definitely genres I don't care for but usually if I look hard enough I can find something I like. My major dislikes are most rap/r&b and older country and even about 2/3rds of modern country. But I like rock techno electro dubstep (if I'm fucked up) some modern country some rap swing jazz (elctro swing is also good) classical and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
It's great and it sucks at the same time. It sucks cause due to how broad my tastes are I'm usually far from a expert on any single band or performer. I'll usually only know a handful of songs for each.

Think manson was the closest I came to being hard-core about any performer. Once upon a time I could lists songs from a album in order.

Edit: I'm not big into breaking things down into sub genres as said usually there is something I can find that I like.

Queen is absolutely terrible and super overrated. Mind you, I like some of their songs, but I always feel like there were other bands that did what they did better.

Prince was also just okay. I liked his personae and the fact that he really did try to work as a one man band, but I think, yeah, super overrated.
You ever listen to Sparks? They're another falsetto fronted rock band but they're both funny and more clever

I can agree with the last two, especially Sum, but Blink has some absolute bangers.

Early to mid 2000s emo music, stuff like The Used, Hawthorne Heights, Armor for Sleep, Senses Fail, etc is the best subgenre of rock music

Nine Inch Nails version of Hurt is better than Cash's remake.
Non-Points version of In the Air Tonight is good, not QUITE as good as Collins', but still good. (also just came across a like, synthpop 80s version of it that's good too)
Alien Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal is better than Michael Jackon's.
Rage is a hell of an anesthetic.

Nice, I don't have a playlist just for it, but it makes up a decent percentage of my favorite/likes playlist

I've never heard a band/artist that had more than like 2-3 good songs per album max
