MF's getting medieval with names these days.

I feel bad for the Auroras. Kid won't be able to say her own name until she's 10.
This is where cool people write stuff.
Aiden and Cooper are still in the top 50

Rory is the standard nickname for Aurora, and that's easy for kids to say.
Maverick at 13? Good job, Tom Cruise.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
My wife and I discussed names for our sons so often and for so longand then in the end named each one after a grandfather.
An opinion does not turn into a fact simply because the person holding it feels strongly about it.

I've heard a kid be called Maverick in a store by their dad, that cringe is out there. Kid will feel weird putting their name on official documents when they grow up
I hope every kid named 'Maverick' grows up to be an accountant, just to spite their idiot parents.

I'm legit surprised Barbie isn't on the list. Not even Barbara.

My kids do not have very common names while still not being weird names. I'm surprised my daughter's name isn't in the top 100 though

Also it's apparent that many people put no thought into the name they're picking if the same names are always at the top

Oh, and hadn't noticed, but not only are three of our four kids' names on the list(s), but two of them are tied respectively at 37. Abigail and David. Odd coincidence.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Literally every child I've met in the past several years has a last name for a first name. Hopefully we're swinging away from whatever the fuck that trend was.

Most of those aren't bad. Funny seeing my own name up there. The millennial generation gave their kids some really bad ones. I hate all the ___aiden varients the most. That and stuff like Brantley, Jaxxon, and other crap like that.

Damn my name is no longer in the top 1000
Fell off in the 2000s.

It peaked in 1964 somewhere between ranks 100 to 200

Kind of surprised since my name is like super basic imo

It is nice not having Michael in the top ten anymore, but it is still way too high.

As someone named Michael, I can say there is way too man other people named Michael out there. But it was in the top 5 baby names from the 50s until the late 90s

Those are old people names
Common sense says it may not taste good, but it'll make a turd.
i imagine the reason names are cyclical is you dont want to name your kids after living friends and family members, so you look to other inspirations, or things like dead family members middle names or whatever

my sons name came from multiple musiciansand weve struggled to come up with another boy name we like, that isnt taken, for our second due next month

Both of my kids names are in the top 10. I'm a boring person and I'm okay with that.
I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show! I am better than both the salami and the bologna COMBINED!
The girls fared better then the boys. Feel bad for the Daisies in the world, it's old fashioned and associated with a duck. I like Evelyn, Vivian, Aurora, and Olivia. Two of my little cousins are named Ava and Madeline.

My son's name seems to hang outside the top 100. Had we had a girl, her name was in the 50's in terms of rankings.

Surprised I'm not seeing like "Braydlynn" or some shit on there. Or like Riverleigh.

This is the response to those names. People are going old school traditional in response to cringe like these.

I want to name a daughter Nelsie. It was used in America like 100 years ago.

Congratulations in advance on your growing family!

I like Liam (#2), mostly because it reminds me of Oasis who I think are badass. Maverick is ridiculous for a first name. I always liked Wesley (which happens to be #83), although I think that would be a better middle name.

My buddy told me once that whenever a guy chooses a name for his daughter it's always the name of a girl he thought was hot once... lmfao. I kinda agree, usually. It's just fucked up to think of it that way lol I like the name Carolina for a girl. My mom's name is Carol so it's a nod to her without copying it.
