Looks like it's $6 on Steam, definitely worth trying out for its price. I got the game when it originally came out and it's definitely not worth the $60 or whatever it was
Getting C's and D's, saying thanks and please.
You broke the golden rule, you're staying after school.
I was very excited to try it out, and I absolutely hated it.

That said, I think it is one of those games that you really need to just try and find out for yourself.

I got it for 5 bucks from GameStop a decade and a half ago for 360 we played it for an evening while drinking for around 6 hours and I never played it again.

The conversations and interrogations are interesting enough, everything else is terrible including the investigations.

Pretty much anything that could be called gameplay was rather atrocious in my opinion, but I felt compelled to do everything so I would have all possible dialogue options/clues.

I didnt like the combo.

Great game
The open world was pointless. Just have crime scenes and interrogations.
Trucking Legend Don Schneider!
Wonderful game.
Your face looks like I need a beer.
Beat it last July, enjoyed the hell out of the world but wished that there was some mini games or activities to do outside of the main story.

Make Arcades Great Again!
I personally loved it.

Me and my Dad were huge into classic cars, true crime and WWII history when I was a kid, so you can imagine my joy at the in game vehicle selection, and the story itself.

It isn't really a GTA clone so if you go into it expecting that you'll be disappointed. It's probably the best police procedural game ever made, albeit that's not a high bar.

If it's cheap on Steam give her a spin.

I wanted to like it, and I forced myself to play all the way through, but ultimately I think it ranges from flat to kind of silly, though I guess I do kind of appreciate what it was going for. I think a big part of it was that the interview mechanics never really clicked with me, and I kind of stumbled through those portions of the game, just randomly shouting at suspects.
Thus I became a madman.
It's fine. Good/great if you like Rockstar stuff, meh if you are looking for a mystery game.

It's like olde thyme GTA, but you're the good guy, which is less fun

I liked it enough

The lead developer was apparently a nightmare to work with/for, so I don't think it's going to happen

Rockstar owns the ip so it doesnt matter. The original dev team was disbanded due to toxic workplace.
The guy who played Cole was Ken Cosgrove in Mad Men.
Don't tease the octopus, kids!
I enjoyed it when it first came out and I like the time period. One thing I've noticed is that Cole in-game clothes lack the details of the 1940s like beefy lapels and big structured shoulders which are present in the art work of the game.

I played and beat the game when it came out and I have no recollection of the open world. It must have been that pointless

I fucking loved it, even the semi-pointless open world stuff that Rockstar forced into the game.
It looked like they were going to attempt to make it like a Grand Theft Auto game but then they canceled it at the last minute but still left the world

So much potential...

I still enjoyed it for what it was, but it could have been so much better. For me it was just neat being in 1940s LA.
