As a kid I got good at them and could bounce for a few minutes at a time but I always eventually lost balance

I remember trying as a kid and I wasn't heavy enough to make it work. either that or it was poorly made / rusty or something and the spring didn't work

yea it doesn't work as well in reality. Like fast food burgers that show burgers on tv much better than they ever look

It was so exotic (with just one pogo stick)

But nah, I actually have a weird irrational fear of them thanks to watching Leprechaun when I was 4.
