What the hell is it with all these manga and gaming legends dying so recently? And so relatively (old) young?
This rant was brought to you by your local random thinker.

If you know anything about Japanese businesses, they work their employees to the bone. There's a reason people say that make sure you work for yourself if you ever decide to settle down in Japan, as there is no 40 hour work week in Japan. Yes, the advertise it, but many people choose to work a lot more hours.

Unless you're in a hard labor camp, people don't die at 63 just from working.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

Nah actually I take that back. Velvet is by far my favorite inomata design and tales of character in general. I actually forgot she some characters from berseria and was a team effort.

Tales of Destiny was my second JRPG and the one that made me interested in playing more RPGs. Something FF7, my first JRPG, failed to do for me.

No, but it doesn't help. There are plenty of other factors, but its only recently that mangaka have been allowed to take a break for health reasons, as things like that back in the 90s/early 2000s it really wasn't a thing. If you didn't regularly publish, your work wouldn't get featured. So, it wouldn't surprise me if they were neglecting their personal health at the same time.

A combination of being overworked and neglecting health can lead into issues.

Japan has the third highest life expectancy in the world with both Miyazaki and Miyamoto outliving some of these younger legends. I don't know what happened with Inomata but Toriyama was a heavy chainsmoker which likely contributed to it.
