Yeah, it's unfortunate that this happens often enough that I'm not 100% sure on who you mean either. Maybe it was Jacob Williamson? I know when that story first got shared here, a lot of the articles were using his old name.

Correct, however that person is right in that the initial reporting of Benedict's death did say "died as a result" of the beating, even though they didn't die on the school bathroom floor like someone literally beaten to death.
Yeah, with how this was originally reported, it sounded like they died in the hospital as a result from the attack. I'll chock that up to being intentionally vague about an ongoing investigation. But I still hope the family can get an independent autopsy done.
