VII's is iconic. But I think that X's is the best. That opening of watching Sin demolish Zanarkand during a blitzball match was awesome.

I was blown away with 8's in its time. No clue how well it held up. 9 had some amazing CG scenes that completely blew away anything in 8 but I don't think any were the opening scene.

FFVIII's landslide is amusing, but not surprising. This is a game that managed (later on) to even make turning on a radio tower a visual spectacle.

FFVIII's first disc really is one of the best gaming experiences of all time. Its intro was the first thing that popped into my head when reading the topic title so I'll go with that, too.

Im not a mod guy, but man, I'd play a rebalanced 8 in a heartbeat. I love how enemies scale level wise, but Draw and Junction are just too powerful if you engage with them even a little bit.
