Biden needs to have Navy Seals present at the hearing when this case is argued. Really needs something to drove home the repercussions of a decision in favor of immunity.

I know from an optics/"professionalism" standpoint it wouldn't be the right thing to do, but part of me wants Biden to call a press conference, walk on stage, and then say nothing other than:

"I am not saying I have tactical teams monitoring all Congressional GOP members, the Supreme Court Justices, and Former president Trump at all times, but I will say I am very interested in how the Presidential Immunity ruling shakes out."

And then just walk off stage with no questions.

Presidents, including Trump, have basically had immunity the entire time, all he had to do was not publicly attempt to incite an insurrection, but if put to the legal test, the answer is obviously "no they don't". He might not even be wrong about some of the ramifications of spelling it out like this, but he's the one forcing it, because as usual, he gives no fucks about anyone that isn't him, and upsetting the apple cart is a small price to pay for a small chance at an advantage.

The thing about the Democratic Party's leaders is that they all seem to be trapped in a delusion where the Republicans are still playing by the fucking rules, when in actual fact, they have been testing the waters for decades, breaking more and more of them to see just how much they can get away with before they finally just grab absolute power and kill everyone who ever told them "no". We're almost at the climax of the Americanized remake of the Weimar Republic, and yet somehow, these dopes can't figure out how the movie's going to end if they keep twiddling their thumbs and doing nothing of substance to stop it.
