Hunter lives in East New York, Brooklyn, and has seven prior arrests, according to cops. Four of the arrests involve domestic violence, two are for petty larceny and the most recent one, last October, is for grand larceny and involves shoplifting, police said.

Her Thursday court appearance saw an odd outburst.

When Judge Marva Brown asked the prosecution if it would seek an order of protection against Hunter, an ADA said one wasnt needed since the defendant and victim were strangers.

What the f? Were not strangers, Hunter exclaimed, prompting the judge to tell her to quiet down.

The homeless suspect, who has a face tattoo of a horseshoe, was told to report to a social worker at her new shelter.

The Judge was seriously like, "Yo, can you shut the fuck up? Me and the prosecution are working our asses off to do the job of your defense attorney to let you go be a menace to the public again, and you're making our efforts really awkward."

Hey now, supervised release isn't a slap on the wrist of anything. I'm sure that if she had gotten supervised release following one of her four previous domestic assault arrests, we wouldn't be in this situation right now.

Sounds like you'd rather people just be tossed in the trash.

tbf there's stuff inbetween being in the trash and being allowed to go free. And this is a repeated domestic abuser.

Correct. Prison is for the purpose of people who are a danger to society to be kept sequestered while rehabilitation is attempted. Its clear this person should have still been in prison.

But thats not what people who describe criminal behaviour as trash to be thrown out have in mind.

We used to have a logo that was supposed to symbolize redirecting someone down a better path. State got rid of that logo. Guess they even knew it wad a joke

That said there are programs offered but they are strictly voluntary and I don't really know how good they are. Never got to be the guard that sat in the classroom with them.
