If Biden wins the popular vote, loses EC, he should not turn power over to Trump

There is absolutely no moral justification for doing so, and Trump being allowed to run in the first place means there's no real legal obligation either, since presidents clearly can do whatever they want. If Biden wins a majority of votes, it is not only justified but morally obligated that he not let the Electoral College put a genocidal maniac in power again, and saying otherwise because of a horrible decision made 250 years ago is insanity.

Well he may or may not have presidential immunity to do literally whatever he wants at that point, so we'll see.
Rage is a hell of an anesthetic.
We should let the court decide that presidents are 100% immune to any criminal charges then let Biden banish Trump to Antarctica before November.

Looks like this gamer's paradise has turned into a gamer's hell...............................................
What really sucks, is that I will immediately suspect Trump and his ghouls cheated... not because of some conspiracy but because they are rotten, dishonest, treasonous, criminals to the core of their being. It's like if you invite a convicted pyromaniac over for a party and your living room gets burned down... it's not a conspiracy to suspect the guy that sets fire to shit for fun might have done it.

So then the right wingers who spent the last three years making more and more idiotic fucking cope-spiracies will be like: "See we told you the elections were rigged!... but not this one, only the ones where our guy loses and incites us to violence!"

Which is the fundamental problem dealing with conservatives who are incapable of honesty or ideological consistency.

According to Trump's lawyers, Biden can just say "I'm not leaving" and nobody can do anything because presidents are gods
The only way to get rid of the electoral college is for the Democrats to lose the popular vote but win the presidency anyway. The GOP will shit-can that thing real fast when it works against them for a change.

On what grounds is he morally or logically obligated to listen to that if Trump is allowed to run again and is supposed to be given power after losing by, say, 10 million votes?

He'd leave. Democrats play by the rules, for better or worse.

They'd make up some bullshit about differing circumstances and thus not allow a Democrat to get away with the same things a Republican can.

Even if we pretend the Electoral College is valid because of a terrible decision made centuries ago, Trump has since annihilated the idea that a peaceful transition is guaranteed.

I almost never make polls, did opening it to everyone let people flood it? If not, anyone want to explain why putting a dangerous lunatic who promotes genocidal sentiments after he democratically loses the election is the right thing to do?

It doesn't matter what the president thinks or doesn't think, when their term is over it's over. There is nothing they can do about it.

It would probably better to wait for his health to degrade even more, otherwise even after Trump, republicans would probably be more dangerous with such a precedent.

Did he lose the el electoral college because of the November election or because Republican state legislatures threw out the vote?

The idea isn't to do this once and then things go back to normal, it's to acknowledge that the Electoral College is too dangerous to exist after it appointed someone like Trump and definitely too dangerous to exist if it tries to do so again. Splitting the country apart while Trump isn't in power is less dangerous than letting him become a dictator, and no one is making any argument against it besides "the inherently unjust rules say not to!" Telling everyone who is at risk of persecution and death under Trump's insanity and 2025 that their lives are less important than following rules from 250 years ago is hateful nationalism, not an admirable dedication to "playing fair" like people are framing it as.
