I'm not someone who thinks religion is above satire or that joke religions can't be funny. But Pastafarianism is a dead horse that's so beaten and decayed it can't even be sent to the glue factory. The ED page for it sums up how I feel about it perfectly. Antitheists need to adopt higher standards for their humor, full stop.
I've never been partial to the joke either, myself. I don't revile it nearly as much as you, however always felt it a rather lazy jab at organized religion.
Although I do gotta say, when they gave it a face and actual features that was pretty humorous.
