Kale's meme-like hate on TV shows is really overblown. I didn't even realize I was eating kale in the salad when I was eating it, thought it was just another arugula or even rocca leave

So yeah, the undisputed world champion of "worst vegetable of all time" still goes to brussel sprouts, undefeated. And no, I don't want to hear about how "brussel sprouts are totally good if you slather it in butter and roast them, they actually turn out okay! People just don't know how to cook them!"

Kale is great. I actually use it in my grilled chicken wraps that I eat for lunch every single day. Great texture.

You don't need to do that to make them good. They're just good. One of the best. Sliced sprouts in a cruciferous salad is top notch.
The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.

Kale is trash and I legitimately believe people are lying when they say they like it. Kale chips are one of the dumbest foods ever made.

Brussel sprouts are amazing. Pan with some EVOO, Salt, Pep, Garlic powder, onion powder and a good bit of red pepper flakes. Chef's kiss.

That's what I do with basically all the veggies I make, and it's always great. Broccoli is a super common goto for damned near everything I make

Yeah, when you habitually eat like shit, insoluble fiber wreaks havoc on your guts.

I'm ok with kale, definitely better to have it instead of iceberg lettuce as iceberg is literally no nutritional value.

Spinach is the best substitute, though.

I only eat Kale from Bibibop, and it's fantastic. First time I tried it, I was blown away by how good it was, after hearing all the horror stories around kale.

That sounds looks and smells amazing.

The beets probably gave it a nice didnt-rinse-veggies-after-pulling-them-from-the-ground earthy tone.

Many Americans seem to have this aversion to anything that isnt meat or starches. They had been eating uncooked veggies their whole life and claim they are terrible.

Seriously, learn to cook. The healthy stuff is really good when you dont baby mode it.

There's also a genetic component though. Brussels sprouts have a chemical that makes them taste weird to anyone that has a certain gene, similar to how cilantro tastes like soap to some people.

I have that gene, so I will never like brussels sprouts no matter how they're prepared. At best they're tolerable.

Yeah why do tv shows and movies always portray characters as these extremes of always being red meat eaters or being completely vegan no protein salad eaters. It's like they somehow want to make even something like food bipartisan... somehow.

Even though a combination of both is what makes food work
