Or the first two episodes of season 2, rather.

And they're a very big step above any episodes in S1 (which I didn't hate as much as others, but it was still not very good lol)

The Spartans have actual personality

Master Chief does Master Chief things

The Halo music is now actually in the show

The writing is a lot tighter

The Covenant are actually threatening

Visually, the show also looks a lot more competently made than the previous season.

Not removing this until Mega Man 64 is released on the Wii Virtual Console. Started on: 12/1/2009

Does it seem like it's going in a direction where eventually the prevailing wisdom will be to tell people interested in the show to just skip season 1 and start on season 2? Or is season 2 still being dragged down by all the season one stuff it has to acknowledge?

There's narrative threads that pick up in S2 so at the very least you would need to watch a recap/summary if you wanted to skip S1

S1 was pretty bad. S2 has 2 episodes out and those 2 episodes are WAY better then the entirety of the first season. I'd just get a recap of season one and move on.

It's still crazy how much they dropped the ball on the first season.

Of all the video game franchises you could turn into a movie/TV show, Halo is one of the easiest

Isn't there a weird Cortana/Chief AI Girlfriend scene like in Blade Runner 2049? So now Chief is in a love triangle with Cortana and some human Covenant chick?

Only got to watch S2E1 so far last night since I got home late but it was a really good episode (aside from Kwan at the end, I was hoping we were done with her) The whole first 20 minutes were better than what we've seen in Season 1 (although I did like the first episode and the finale from Season 1)

Then I'd suggest don't watch at all then. If you couldn't get into the first 10 minutes of S1 then your not gonna get through it at all. Because it's basically like those first 10 minutes.

Im not reading any posts since I forgot it was out so I'll have to start tomorrow, but I just watched S1 and thought it was really good

I'm not a halo fan or anything though. I just thought it was a good video game adaptation

I liked season 1. Don't know what the complaints are about. Maybe it was too different from the games. I thought that was a good thing. So far season 2 seems worse than 1 to me. Hopefully it will improve.

That's kind of how it was in the original Judge Dredd movie, and the live action Spawn movie. Probably other examples out there that I don't know of or can think of.
