I went with Netflix's lowest plan since I don't watch it as much, but I still do from time to time.

anyway, I saw that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Missing were both locked, for me.
Don't you agree, Zach?

Yeah, I saw a reddit post saying they were halfway through Silent Hill and then it locked them out when they went back to it.

Kinda bullshit

Lol wtf. Now they're even locking content out of the cheap plans on top of price gouging the adfree ones. Why are you guys subbed to it again
yea, this is what shows up for some of the stuff:

We suffer from the delusion that the entire universe is held in order by the categories of human thought.
Sounds like a problem with the studios, not Netflix.

This might be annoying considering I have an ad-supported plan by default through T-mobile :(

Did they announce that reduced content was a part of the ad-tiers?

If it was done by stealth, that is pretty scummy.

Imagine paying money, still getting ads, and still can't watch everything on the service.

The ad supported plan is such a massive self-own for anybody who has it.

As usual piracy is a service issue.
thank fuck this doesn't exist in canada yet.

but jesus, it's coming.

i just cancelled Prime because i got grandfather-reversed into an ad-tier. Youtube gives me ads for free. Why should i pay Prime for ads?

I pirate now, WAY more than i did 5 years ago. And I spend less on stream services now than I did then, too.
I pirate now almost as much as I did in 2009.
Back then, paying for it was more convenient. Now? Pirating is almost just as convenient again, depending on the content.
leafs rule
bump for anyone planning to go with this plan

Yeah. But the corporate types that push shitty service are the ones who believe that customers are mere obstacles between them and their money .

I had Netlifx for fucking years. Back in like 2010 I got gifted the service when it was just DVDs by mail. I used that for a while and then when they started streaming, I had that.

Cancelled two or three years ago and have not regretted it once.

Im really curious how streaming will look 5-10 years from now. The current war and splintering is obviously not sustainable for neither provider nor customer.
