easily everybody thought that 1 and 2 were the best. Not sure which one was more highly thought of. One of the few times the 2nd might have been better than the 1st.

Not going to lie, I have persistent childhood nostalgia for Superman 4 and Nuclear Man for some dumb reason.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Not really. For whatever reason, I just remember Superman 4 being on TV a lot. Maybe we had a tape of it?

3 is better.

  • The chemical plant fire
  • The Clark Kent vs Superman fight is one of the best in the series (really the whole evil Superman part is good)
  • The scary robot lady that will scar you for life

From a technical standpoint, Superman IV is an objectively worse film. Incoherent writing, TV production special effects, etc.

In terms of my personal enjoyment, Superman III was so boring that I actually prefer the comically bad Quest for Peace. Better an unintentional comedy with a little bit of Saturday morning cartoon action than a total snooze-fest.

The good Clark Kent vs bad Superman scene in Superman 3 was good though.
