No, it's a remake. It's literally 3 years old.
It's a "remake" in that they basically built the literal exact same game from the ground up with slightly more modern controls and physics, and otherwise changed pretty much nothing at all.
It's still, for all intents and purposes, a game from 2002, as far as story/mission/gameplay structure goes. They didn't change anything about the story, mission, or gameplay structure, otherwise.
Basically, you're mad that a remake didn't drastically change the game. That's on you.
