Despite initial skepticism and my general dislike of survival games, I got the game yesterday and played a few hours. So far my base is basically a petting farm, save for the flower dragon I caught.

tbh I was up until 5am playing it, got up at 7am and am sitting prim and proper in a button up and leather shoes in my car now.

I haven't been able to come remotely close to catching the bees. They love to run at you and self destruct as soon as they see you.

I just started last night, have my base built up to level 7. When I get home from work it's time to hit the road and go catching and exploring hard.

So I'm level like 19/20. My Pals were level 10-15ish.

I got raided by 3 level 27 brontosaurs or some shit. I got WRECKED. Not just beaten, but they WRECKED me. One hit I was dead.

Is that shit supposed to happen? My last raid before it was two toucan Pals.

I'm thinking I'm probably over leveled to go do that first tower but I've just been exploring and trying to catch 10 of everything I find.

Those were the ones I think! I had three come in. They caught on fire my building where the eggs and wool are produced, I forget the name. When they killed me a third time I just picked a new spawn point and waited a few minute and then fast traveled back. The base had cleared out and all my Pals needed reviving.

I'm having a ton of fun with it. I've been trying not to look things up, but I had to look into where to find sulfur.

Had to venture out very far from my base, but I made it to the right biome and found a nearby fast travel point before I went to bed. So after work today, my goal is going to be to find a good deposit/spawn for sulfur and set up my second base there. I don't actually have guns unlocked yet, but I figured I should start preparing at least lol.

Geez that's rough. I've never had a raid like that. I've been raided about 7 times now and they've always been a few levels lower than me.

And you might be ready for the boss. The main issue with the bosses is that they have a ton of health and there's a time limit. When I fought the first one, my pal took most of the aggro, so I barely got attacked, but it took me 5-6 minutes of the 10 minute timer.

I looked up sulfur and some base skill palls.

Fortunately I actually explored about half the fucking map from the air before I gave up and looked it up.

I have to hit up that sanctuary some time.

Whelp my entire three story wood house burned down two days ago right as I was about to turn in for the night.

Spent all my play time yesterday rebuilding it, realizing some of what I lost while I did. When I first rescued stuff I was like this shouldnt all fit in three refined metal chests

Worst was about 1k of sulfur, and hundreds of various ingots, about 100 ultra pall balls and three gold keys, rabble rabble.

Its all bigger, better, prettier, and more abusive of geometry now. Plus all stone, tried the metal but it was too damn ugly.
