I never understood why the devs at Atlus insist on leaving the female protagonist on the cutting room floor. It's literally part of the reason I play games as I wish to be a girl myself, but circumstance makes it near impossible for me to achieve in real life.As much as I love the Persona games, I think Atlus is a bit out of touch. Like the whole reason they've laser focused on the high school setting is because they wanted a setting that everyone could relate to. Maybe Persona 6 will move away from that setting and also include both a make and female protagonist. Or hell, they could even go a step further and just allow us to customize our own protagonist since they always make it a silent self insert anyway
