If you're not butthurt about something, you're not a conservative.
Every word in your title past the first two is not needed.
My favorite was the guy who was like "why did they have to make it political". My dude the song was written about Bush.Listening to lyrics? Illegal.
I could have sworn there was some onion article something like "conservatives shocked to learn the punk music they listen to is actually talking about them"Reminds me of the "Eminem horrified to learn that boys his daughter is dating were raised on his music"
Nobody can be a conservative that listens pop-punk, that's so fucking contradictoryi don't know if conservative pop punk actually exists, but conservative (read: nazi) hardcore has existed for about as long as hardcore has existed.
If I had a nickel for every time MAGAs complained about something that was actually always against their ideology that happened to be around pre-Trump (Green Day, RATM, Star Trek, Wolfenstein, etc.) I could buy a house with those nickels.

literally do not ask me how the fuck that even works because i couldn't explain that to you. Punks have always had a huge problem with far-right hooligans weaseling into their community. Dead Kennedys wrote Nazi Punks Fuck Off because actual nazis went to their shows thinking songs like Kill the Poor were to be taken literally.
Green Day is still PUNK! Meanwhile Blink 182 is making legit dad rock.

They changed the lyrics of American Idiot from "not a part of a redneck agenda" to "MAGA agenda".

Exactly. They try to act like this stuff wasn't politicized before and it's like, no, the difference is you weren't politicized before.
They're just pissed because all they have is shitty Kid Rock. They have that guy that made that song about hanging black people

That you don't even know the name of. That's my point, anyone with real talent doesn't back these clowns. He kinda came and went
To be fair, punk music was appropriated fairly early by white supremacists. We're talking all the way back to the late 70s. Punk music and nazi imagery go together like peanut butter and jelly.
It was a very small part of it and they were thoroughly disavowed by the community. (Nazi punks fuck off)I think it was more of a thing in the UK.
