Yeah, Bush did not handle the situation well, but I don't know that any other president would have worked out much better. But I don't know much about the entire thing, I was fuckin' ten at the time, so I won't try to speak with authority on that.
But Trump didn't just fumble the situation, he actively chose to make it worse.
The fact that every other president would've been just as eager to do war crimes doesn't justify or absolve Bush of his war crimes in any way.
Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden would've all replicated each other's war crimes if they had a chance. That doesn't mean any of them get a free pass for the war crimes they did get the chance to do, its just a separate indictment for each.
