would you give it to them? I had this scenario yesterday. I didn't have any cash on me, but I used my card to buy her what she wanted, which was ~5 dollars. Would you have done the same?

For me, if you're honest I'll support your bad habits.

No. Rather not pay for alcohol at all. If someone wants to drink, they can. But I won't purchase alcohol or knowingly give someone money to purchase it.

Yeah probably.

I use cash pretty often so I usually have at least a few bucks in change in my pocket. I'll give it to someone for booze money if they ask.
Save for your doomed future
If I had the spare bucks, depends on my mood honestly. Much like if I smoked I might front some of the folks that ask a smoke. But I neither smoke nor carry loose cash that isn't already spent.
Just because I have 99% of a heart doesn't mean it can't kill me. It's tried. Twice.
My body has a dongle and my heart doesn't care. The one thing we agree on.
No. If I don't know you, I'm not giving you money for free.

I also don't carry cash with me.

Nope. I don't give money to strangers anymore. I'd respect the honesty though. Much better than some of the lies I've been given. Such as a really skinny woman (I'm talking 0 shape to her belly) telling me "I'm 9 months pregnant and I need money for food" and then I saw her a couple months later saying the same sob story. It was like, lady you were just 9 months pregnant 2 months ago. How are you still 9 months pregnant?

I live in a major city, this happens every other day.

Hell, people will outright try to sell you drugs in broad daylight, not trying to hide it or anything.
One time I was at a bus station waiting for a bus and some guy, in his car, drives up to where the buses park and asked everyone standing around if we were interested in buying Percocets lol
What is up, my sister!?

Some dude saw me smoking on my break the other day and asked for one. Gave him 2. I was standing by the dumpster and he asked if I had to use the garbage. Apparently that meant he had to take a piss behind lol

Alcohol, no. If they asked me to buy them some food, sure.

I'm far more likely to if they're honest, though it's not guaranteed.

I remember a dude sitting by a wendys with a sign saying "need food" or some shit, so when I went through the drive thru I got him a meal. He apparently didn't want it and was just looking for money. Fuck those people

Wow that sucks cornmuffins about #16. I more than likely would as long as they looked of age. I typically have some cash on me.

A short story I was in Niagara Falls Canada with my family. This was awhile ago. My older brother was wearing a suit I don't remember why and someone came up to him and asked him for bus fare. Like five dollars so my brother gave him a dollar to like try to teach him a lesson? So I was all dressed in a hoodie and a backwards hat...I just wound up doubling back for a minute or two and I was like, that was just lame and give him a 5 dollar bill.

Whether it was for bus fare or not I dunno, I guess just wanted to surprise the guy. Not sure if my family even noticed I showed him up not like I immediately did it.
