I'm happy together with my GF since 8 years, but we're not married, because if you are in our country, you pay more taxes and get less pension. Since we're both not religious people anyway, we don't see a reason to marry. We both don't want any kids. We just want to enjoy our time and do what we want.
Like: great videogames, peaceful discussions, open-minded people
Dislike: console wars, trolls, haters, review-bombing, negativity

I assume you are at least legally considered as such? Civil union or whatever. People dont usually marry for religious reasons nowadays - its just to ensure that if one of you dies the other doesnt have inheritance and power of attorney problems, etc.

I am and I have neither lol. And I guess its because women just dont like me In a romantic way anyway. Dont know why either tbh, because when it comes down to it, I think Im great. It cant be a lack of confidence because I never shy away from who I am, pretend to be something Im not, feel ashamed, etc. I guess its my looks? But Im not that bad-looking.

I truly think Im just one of those people who isnt meant to be with someone. And honestly? After seeing how my friends who are married and / or have kids I think its for the best lol. Nothing about their lives comes off as appealing to me.

Im not totally opposed to that life, but, realistically, I dont see it happening. Sure, there are days when I get a bit down trying to think of whats so wrong about me that no ones had the courtesy to tell me so I can fix it, but then I kind of snap back to reality and its fine.
No. I wouldn't allow it. The taste would be terrible. Can you imagine Augustus-flavored chocolate-coated Gloop? Eww. No one would buy it.

Yeah, we settled all of that. Even made our testaments and such.

The legal system has all but destroyed the idea of marriage for me. Its just become a cyclic profit machine for wedding planners and divorce lawyers. That the Courts also hold a heavy bias against men in the event of divorce is also no incentive. A man can be in the right and still lose half of everything, plus alimony and child support. The thought of losing a home that has been in my family for generations is enough reason for me.

If we lived in a different world Id be open to kids. But in this world and its steady social and economic decline, life isnt worth it. No matter how hard you work, if youre born at the bottom, chances are youre staying there. Then you end up as some drone working in a factory slowly breaking down little by little and the only glimpse of joy you get out of life is through video games that can distract you from reality long enough to actually feel something.

42, never been on a date because of severe social anxiety and I've been a NEET my entire adult life and figure no girl would want someone like me anyway so I don't bother trying. Being single is fine. I definitely don't want kids.

We wanted kids maybe like 8 years ago. Decided the past couple of years we dont want to bring a child into this world. I have a niece that if something were to happen to her, idk how I could continue tbh. No way Ill be living a healthy life with the anxieties/worries if I had my own kid. So were going DINK.

Why not?

Life feels better without them. Grew up as an Uncle to many young nieces and nephews and felt like I spent half my 20s around children. Feels like I got enough of that experience so far. Maybe when I'm 40 something or close to 40 I'll think about children but right now I'm good
