They used the pandemic as a reason for ditching it. The real reason is it wasn't popular enough to keep breakfast in the cabinet while simultaneously popular enough that one idiot at 11pm gets mad they have to wait for it to cook.

The mcgriddle was never on the all day menu so it seemed completely pointless from the beginning.

Yes it was

It was actually popular, but overall not too many customers actually coming to eat inside the restuarant and not enough workers (reduced staffing, mainly thanks to the pandemic. Honestly I miss the 24 hour walmart hours the most. 24 hour pharmacies also all but went away) actually wanted to constantly maintain 2 separate stations all day.

*The mcgriddle was on that 24 hour menu over here in south carolina....I can personally vouch for that since I used to eat way too many of those things during the 24 hour thing, lol.*

Sonics, bojangles, cracker barrel, ihop, and wafflehouse (also huddlehouse in the southeastern united states) have a full menu throughout the day so I at least hit up bojangles when I am craving a cajun chicken filet biscuit w/eggs at like 8 at night, lol.

Listen, I absolutely love Sonic's breakfast food. I love their burrito, especially adding the spicy cheese sauce. But literally every time I have been to a Sonic, no matter which Sonic, no matter where, they have ALWAYS messed up my order. Often times, even when I have ordered items straight off the menu with no changes/additions. It just never fails, I don't think I've gotten my actual order from a Sonic more than 10% of the time.

EDIT: And every time, I call and complain, and they go "Oh, well next time tell 'em (Name Here) said your next order is free/you get X for free/etc." And then I do that. And, inevitably, (Name Here) has left or been fired, and they just "...Huh?" me and I never actually get anything for free. Even if it's been all of like, three days since I was last there. It just always happens like that.
