Apologies to Godzilla, which came out on December 1st (or actually November 30th) - awesome movie btw

There are a few small theatrical movies I had to leave off like Eileen, Concrete Utopia, Monster, Anyone But You, All of Us Strangers, and Boys in the Boat.

I also left off the Netflix movies which will have some limited theatrical screenings - Leave the World Behind, Maestro, Chicken Run, and Rebel Moon.

Feel free to discuss any of those too.
Currently playing: haven't played anything since August. Something is wrong with me!
Aquaman will be a flop, and it will be glorious.

Not changing this signature until Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in my hand.
August 25th, 2010.
Of those in the poll, The Boy and the Heron, but I actually want to see Anyone But You the most. Poor Things will definitely be seen as well.

I advise you go sooner rather than later. This may or may not be true, but heard that Toho International only was planning for it to be in Western theaters for a very limited time. Their first time distributing outside of Japan I believe.

I saw an early screening of The Boy and the Heron. Really good (but I liked Godzilla more)

I wish I could have more than 10 movies in the poll. Early tracking for Anyone But You is actually poor, so I left it off for the big potential Oscar movies like Poor Things, American Fiction, The Zone of Interest, Iron Claw, The Color Purple, and Ferrari.

I have an advance Dolby ticket to The Iron Claw on the 13th. Very excited.

that's not surprising, I'm sure in the age of romcoms everyone would prefer it on streaming so they can "netflix and chill" while watching. But I love romcoms and I love Glen Powell so I will make a trip to the theater for it

I'll see it if it gets at least okay reviews. Maybe in theaters or maybe at home. My wife will likely be interested as well if it doesn't suck.

It looks like it will be a very R rated romcom

Honestly, I'm not really excited about any of the December releases. I have a mild interest in American Fiction and The Boy and the Heron. But I doubt I'll actually go out and see them this month.

It looks fucking hilarious. And should be topical as well

I'm seeing Iron Claw on opening night.
...I think I'm done here...
I'm more interested in classic movies than current ones these days. Making my way through a list of the top 100 movies of all time currently.

And yet, it is winning right now...

But it won't be the big hit the first was and I don't think anything will be this year to the level of Avatar, Spider-Man, Star Wars, etc.

Good man.

Lately I've watched Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The Godfather. Making my way through the James Bond movies. Absolutely loved Oppenheimer, I've watched that multiple times.

Bump.

Just finished rewatching Heat in anticipation for Ferrari. Probably been over 25 years since I had seen it.
