I need a bunch of actually scary horror movies. Not like the usual crap they've been putting out. I just end up laughing at literally every horror movie I watch. Need something to terrify me.

If anything psycologial and paranormal is what id prefer to watch. I cant remember the name of it but there was one movie that scared me but it was about a cult. I like all of that but the thing is everything I've ever watched has been either predictable or just makes me laugh. I just started Smile right now.

Just finished Smile and it was by no means horrifying. Me and my bf both predicted what was gonna happen before the movie was even half over. Just lame.

Terrified has some seriously scary moments. It's an Argentinean horror film and you can find it on Shudder and I think Youtube.

Thanks! On my list except The Strangers. Back when it came out that movie made me paranoid for a week. Scared the shit outta me. Rewatched it not long ago and I wasn't scared at all.

Cape Fear (the original starring Robert Mitchum)

These are the few that actually made me feel uncomfortable. I'm slowly learning to appreciate horror, but nonsense ghost stuff or pointless slashers don't work for me, although The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a masterpiece.

Shiva Baby is the movie that I consider the most unnerving, but it's billed as a comedy, though it's widely reviewed and rated as a horror, especially if you have social anxiety.
I guess I'm something of a ne'er do well.
