Yeah I just got to her part in the story mode earlier today and wow is it bad. She's not even trying. I get sometimes going for star power but yikes.
Also regarding the voice acting, I was shocked to find out that's not actually
Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa voicing Shang Tsung
. It sounds exactly like him.
