I care that it completely misses the tone of the series and took the story about 30 steps too far in the "crapsack, grizzly, rapey, torture porn world" direction because Game of Thrones did it. Just like every other fantasy series to come out after game of thrones.
This is mostly my take on it. I actually dont mind them showing the show be more dark, as some very dark things happen in that story, but Jordan wasnt the kind of author to show them, revel in them, etc. and more of a fade to black author. But they really did fuck up the time even from episode 1.
