Yeah I bought the books and bailed on them, definitely not among the better things i've read.
The core of the plot is good and the characters are interesting but the way the narrative is structured is awful.
Some of it is likely just a personal taste thing, and it could also be that some of it get losts in the translation from Polish, but I've met very few people that I know that actually enjoyed the books.
