probably because the show has nothing to do with the videogame which is okay because the videogame has nothing to do with the books.
Thst isnt really true because the witcher games happen after the books, and never tried to be an adaptation but more of a continuation.
The show however doesnt have anything to do with the books or the show and is a complete bastardization, like most adaptations. Its pretty much a netflix rule these days to be completely unfaithful to source material.
