That's it. That's the entire topic.

I like this game. A lot.

I can't put SF6 down so I can't really say. The combat does seem kinda boring but I heard it gets much better when you get more eikons. Story and presentation is really amazing though from the little bit I've played.

I've skipped all the games since 10 other than 7R, though I still want to play 12 at some point

Looks like they might have managed to somehow make a good game, so I'll try it at some point

It's not bad, I'm content playing it for free on my friends PS5 for now.

My complete distaste for Game of Thrones definitely bleeds over to this game though, and makes me pay absolutely no attention to the story whatsoever.

I'll probably grab it on PC when it's half off or better.

Is it on steam deck? Or will it be eventually? I know there was some timed exclusive shenanigans going on there but I really want it lol
Unless it goes through some huge optimizations I would say steam deck is unlikely. My friend had his brand new ps5 overheat once while playing it.
I had no interest in it when announced, trailers shown, ect. Played demo. It won me over.

Not what I want from an FF game, but I see it as a good game. I'm loving it so far.

honestly this is a dumb complaint, it has next to nothing to do with game of thrones

The characterization is pretty on beat with it, but as I said it's entirely on me. I hated GoT and once I saw FFXVI was inspired by it, the seeds were planted. Entirely a me issue, once more.

Not really

If you play more than 2 hours there's basically zero similarities

I'll probably see that at the price point then, or... in a long while playing as I am now. It just hasn't hooked me at all.

Clive from a gameplay standpoint is dollar-store Nero so far but I would wager it'll get better, and the story is pretty well predictable, combined with the fact I've seen so much dark fantasy stuff that "but the trauma!" doesn't work on me for characters any more, so I'm not terribly interested in them either.

This is up there with FFXV for me in terms of how it is. The gameplay is definitely better, but... I'd rather just play DMCV at this point unless it really opens up massively later to differentiate itself somehow.
Im loving it so far, most fun Ive had with a new game in a while.

I've enjoyed it quite a bit. I finished the first playthrough in about 55 hours, and I'm currently 22 hours into new game plus. You can probably finish new game plus in less time, but I'm doing all the side quests and hunts again attempting to get to level 100. I only need to max out the last two abilities and finish the game again to get the platinum.
How dare you enjoy a video game that was made after the year 2000!

I'm not super far into the game, but while the GoT feel is definitely strong in the beginning, it's mostly gone by the time you fight the first giant monster.
