Square-Enix sometimes has really funny ideas on what it means to expand the audience of their games lolI love the idea that someone seems to have gone " Look, FF games are great but the next one should really be a lot less like FF and a lot more like Forspoken or our 2018 magnum opus THE QUIET MAN ." and that this person was apparently very convincing.
Doubt it'll work out in the way they hope but at the least it's overall still a solid ass video game.
