Square Enix always annihilates other companies when it comes to soundtracks. Fully expect FF16 to take best soundtrack for this year. I wouldnt be surprised with Rebirth took best soundtrack for 2024, too.

Even when it went Nobuo-less with XIII the soundtrack ended up being one of the best parts of the game lol

Armored Core games have massively underrated(or maybe just unheard) soundtracks. Might be a good one there. Otherwise, strong possibility.

I mean, Super Mario RPG remake is also coming out this year, so unless that doesn't count as its too late in the year, that will probably take it.
