According to some of the comments, it's the graphical artstyle, and the belief that Nintendo players would be more accustomed to that sort of artstyle (I have to look it up myself).

PlayStation fans are probably annoyed they're not getting a brand new top of the line 3D Prince of persia, whereas Nintendo fans are happy to just be getting a third party title. Nintendo fans also have much lower standards when it comes to graphics versus gameplay so they're probably a lot less bothered by it being a 2d side scroller. If anything, the Metroid community probably appreciates having another metroidvania on the switch.

Few reasons.

-Metroidvania's and 2D games are generally more popular on Nintendo then playstation.
-Some people might be salty about that PS2 prince of persia remake being in development and that wasn't coming to Switch
-Nintendo fans are less likely to judge a game for not having mind blowing graphics considering how Nintendo systems tend to be potato batteries in comparison to Playstation.

Nintendo owners have much lower standards since the vast majority of the software is total junk that would've been groundbreaking 30 years ago. I have a serious love/hate relationship with this piece of shit.

The art and gameplay style probably attracts more Nintendo gamers than Playstation gamers.

Either way, the like/dislike ratio is still awful for both and I can't understand why. Game looks fun as hell. I understand some people are pissed about the remake that's in development hell...but I'll be honest, it never looked good to me anyway so I'm not hyped for it at all. Especially since it's in dev hell.

The art style is great

The gameplay looks like so much fun

I really don't get the hate at all

EDIT: So I guess it's mostly Sands of Time fans who are salty that they're not getting more of that. This sums it up.

Games need to EVOLVE, they can't just recycle gameplay from 30 years ago. They should recycle gameplay from 20 years ago.

I think it's a safe bet that this game will be a lot better than the Ubisoft open world generic stuff that sells 10+ million primarily on platforms like PlayStation..
