Here's the list of new Pokemon and alternate forms that can now be transferred into S/V from other games. It consists of a bunch of starters, regional forms, legendaries, mythicals, and... Carbink, for some reason.

Of course, you can also transfer your Pokemon from S/V into Home for safe-keeping, and (for the first time since the original gen 1-2) you can even send them backwards a generation into Sw/Sh, BD/SP, or Legends Arceus if the Pokemon is also compatible with one of those games.

Ah nice, I don't think I've even transferred much from PLA yet, gotta get on that...and finish Scarlet finally (I think I stopped just before the Elite 4).

From the SV board:
-Changing a Pokemon's Ability after placing it in a different game will reset its Ability upon being returned to the original game. This does not occur if the Pokemon's ability is changed before being placed in a new game.
-Pokemon with transfer-only moves from past games cannot relearn their special moves if returned to Sword/Shield.
-The Twinkling Star and Galar Champion Ribbons can randomly get corrupted into the Lunchtime Mark.
-Bank Pokemon that were sent into Legends: Arceus in HOME version 2.0.0 have a size of 0.
-The scripted story Alphas from Legends: Arceus do not have maximum size.
-XXL/XXS Pokemon from Pokemon GO do not have minimum/maximum size.
-Alolan Grimer is incompatible with all Egg Moves.

So nothing game breaking yet. Some things that might be pokeyman-breaking, but the game itself survives.

how many "net new" pokemon is this for S/V? (e.g. until today, how many pokemon that could NOT be obtained in S/V are now available?)

it doesnt look like that many at first glance.

I haven't followed the raids. We got a fly Pikachu which is neat.

Also in case anyone was wondering, you can get all the form change items (Reveal Glass, Rusted Sword/Shield, Arceus Plates, etc.) for legendaries at the auction house in Porto Marinada after transferring the legendaries over...

Comments on that tweet that I posted mention lots of people getting the error, and I am still getting the error six hours later after my first attempt to accessing it. So I don't have a clue what is going on....
