That's just terrible. I feel so bad for this man. The amount of survivor's guilt he probably feels right now... Like, those are the last words he heard from his wife after trying to convince her it wasn't safe.
And I don't understand the discussion of police reform in response to
this
specific tragedy. It would definitely help reduce the amount of people that are unjustly killed by police, but replacing armed officers with unarmed responders would not have helped stop this psychopath.
