heck the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 was actually much better and funnier than the theatrical release
Some characters are meant to be R-rated though.
I'm not familiar with the Daredevil comics. I've read two or three in my lifetime, but I've seen the character in the Spider-Man cartoon from the 90s and the Ben Affleck movie. So I'm semi-familiar with him outside of an edgier setting. If they make him PG-13, I won't know what I'm missing.
With a character like the Punisher, he really needs the freedom to engage in bloody violence. Maybe that says something about his artistic merit, but that's what people expect from a character called the Punisher.
