Season 1 was good
Season 2 was terrible and Punisher/Frank Castle did not act like their character he literally let so many criminals alive. Including that one videographer. No way that would have happened in the comics.

He did act in character. This version of Frank (at least in Season 1) wasn't so much about hunting down criminals as he was getting revenge for the death of his family. Once he took out everybody involved in S1, he retired from The Punisher persona. It's not until the end of Season 2 where he decides to actively go on a crusade against crime.

Well, that's the only Daredevil comic story that people kinda know, so they gotta use it.

It's why DC can't stop using shit from The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman. Because those are the most famous comic storylines.

People that think stuff needs to be rated R to be edgy are just goofin

you can portray dark and violent characters and still have a PG-13 rating

heck the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 was actually much better and funnier than the theatrical release

Some characters are meant to be R-rated though.

I'm not familiar with the Daredevil comics. I've read two or three in my lifetime, but I've seen the character in the Spider-Man cartoon from the 90s and the Ben Affleck movie. So I'm semi-familiar with him outside of an edgier setting. If they make him PG-13, I won't know what I'm missing.

With a character like the Punisher, he really needs the freedom to engage in bloody violence. Maybe that says something about his artistic merit, but that's what people expect from a character called the Punisher.
