kang is about to kill scott or cassie, and then another kang comes in to fight the first kang. they tried to send a distress call to the regular world earlier but it didn't seem to go anywhere, but it actually went to another universe thanks to quantum nonsense. all the shots in the trailer of scott being even with kang is just him playing around and letting scott think he's not that powerful, and it's up to the new maybe good kang to help out
