Yeah, this is my bet. This Kang is defeated in this movie, but there's an after-credits where the real Kang the Conqueror shows up and makes it clear that he's far, far more powerful.
Yeah IIRC, there was a quote from Jonathan Majors (or someone from Marvel, can't remember) saying that Kang is going to be a different character every time he shows up, which lends credibility to the idea that this isn't THE eventual Kang who will take on the Avengers.
