Like, in Soul Silver, I defeated every gym leader in Johto, and then in Kanto, beat the Elite 4, defeated Lance (the alleged "Pokemon League Champion"), and even dragged my ass up Mt Silver and won a battle against the legendary Red.

...Then I go to the Battle Frontier and some scrub with an un-evolved little piece of crap is all like "Okay, I'm gonna wreck you n00b lmfao"

Like what is even the point? I'm the best fucking trainer across two regions. I can beat the Elite Four with two Pokemon . Even Lance's team gets annihilated pretty much entirely by my Dragonite. The only one who can challenge me any more is Red, the literal pokemon hermit who conquered the Elite Four at 10 god damn years old and has only gotten better since. But no one even knows who the fuck I am?!

Weak.

I think in Pokemon Moon the Pokemon Center will call you champ whenever you try to heal your Pokemon

That's a start.

We need a Pokemon game where people cower in fear of you. Forget taking out Team Whatever on your way to the top. Let them try to start shit after I've already conquered the Pokemon League, so I can see the panicked looks on their faces when I waltz in with literal gods and dragons. They should know they are fucked the second I walk through the door. Imagine some low-ranking grunt on guard duty in a random warehouse, with a Golbat and whatever trash pokemon that generations has, when he sees the literal reigning champion of the Pokemon world walk in to ruin his day.

In Pokemon Sun/Moon, you're still Champion after you beat the game and if you rematch the Elite 4, the Champion match is actually a title defense against a random challenger

Postgame trainers with Pokemon 30+ level on him: You hear something?

Postgame bosses with perfect Pokemon: Nah.

This is a really weird power fantasy and seems really insecure.

Yeah that.

You arent beating the champion in the Alola Games. your challenger is trying to do that.

Also i personally just love how you dont just fight the same person as the "Champion battle", but a selection of different characters, its not a big pool, but its a cool idea.

It's a video game, of course I want to be an absolute badass.

This is like how in Skyrim you can literally wear armor made from the legendary dragon you murdered with your own hands, and a random bandit in fur armor will still think he's gonna take you down.

Not main Pokemon obviously but the GBC Pokemon TCG2 game takes place right after Pokemon TCG1 where you would have defeated that game's Elite Four and so everyone in the second game kind of knows you're a badass already

TCG2 was never officially translated but it has a fan-translation and I highly recommend it

Hell, in Legends you're one of only a handful of people even capable of catching Pokemon, and even fewer can battle with them.

Remember when Lance hyperbeamed some motherfucker in GSC? You should be able to do that.

NPCs reacting to your progression is definitely something we lack in gaming.

All we do is advance in world size, graphics and number of stuff on screen but we havent really had any break-throughs in actual gameplay.

Sadly enough, one of the games that did this the best was the original Fable. If you're an evil fuck, people run from you. If you're a good guy, people cheer you.

Imagine in Elder Scrolls 6 if bandits actually ran away because you're known as a super-powerful warrior who mercilessly kills criminals? Or if guards actually stood between you and their king because they know you're an evil assassin.

Did they even acknowledge it in the Sword and Shield DLCs? Granted, the main guys in those were former champions so it makes sense they wouldn't be ultra amazed, but I cannot recall if there is any real acknowledgement compared to Leon being so in your damn face.
