Avengers Endgame was populated with action figures, who bash themselves together like action figures. It was adapted from a medium that's well known for selling action figures to children, its primary demographic.
Game of Thrones started as a well received show that was different from a lot of generic fantasy schlock that came before it, and it turned into slop. Endgame comes from a pedigree of slop, and as such, they can slap together a bunch of corny lines and massive fight scenes and call it an epic. The two are held to different standards because they are two different media projects aiming at two different crowds.
