I haven't been keeping up with storage costs but that sounds like a good fucking deal to me

Dude, I'd say a 2 TB Western Digital or Seagate external for that price is a decent deal. 6TB is a fucking awesome deal.

Most likely a slow HDD, but is probably fine for just holding data.

At the risk of sounding dumb, can a HDD like this be partitioned, where I can use 2.5 for my Xbox One and 2.5 for my PS4? Or does it have to be formatted for a single console's storage?

Not sure if consoles would support that, I guess you could try.

External hard drives definitely can be partitioned if using them with PCs.

6TB was $1 more than the 4TB for a few minutes, probably a mistake that is fixed now.

I tried partitioning my 2TB external for PS4 and it didn't seem to work. Or at least the PS4 wouldn't acknowledge there were partitions to choose from (I was trying use one that already had data on it because I didn't want to move all of it back onto my PC).
