I mean, it exists in the sense the voice itself is a voice, so nothing to "believe in or not" about the voice itself.
It just doesn't really mean the person is gay necessarily in my experience as met more straight people with it than gay.

A lot of guys force it because they think it's how they're supposed to sound, or think it's appealing.

i think its often a forced / learned behavior but i have nothing to support this other than my limited observations

idk why it's kinda grating to me now.
I work with two gay coworkers, One of them talks normal. The other one has the higher pitched, almost feminine voice and pretty much right away you recognize it as "the voice" and you just can't help but wonder if they really sound like that or if its how they identify themselves.

well yeah but it's not absolute. I've met gay guys without it and straight guys that have it. but there's definitely a much higher % of gay guys with it than straight guys. like substantially so
