40 y/o Former Democrat turned Republican Kevin Nicholson, a strong Conservative Republican Senate hopeful is running to replace Democrat Junior Senator Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin...but his PARENTS are Donating the maximum $2700 to HER campaign instead and NOT HIM!!
His parents, Michael and Donna have pledged support to Tammy and BOTH domated EACH 2700, the maximum a person can donate.
Kevin was a staunch Democrat back in the day..until he served in the Iraq war and now says that his parents were of "a different world view"
The parents have always supported Democrats and have given money to Baldwin in the past as she was the first only gay Senator voted in 2012
Kevin says he is a now proud "Christian" and "gun owner" who supports the 2nd amendment and acknowledged the rift to CNN and said "It is not surprising that they would support a candidate like Tammy Baldwin who shares their perspective"..He has not yet revealed if him and his parents are on good terms or are at odds
For most of his life he's been a liberal as he acted as president of the College Democrats of America but then his views changed once he toured Iraq and Afghanistan where he was a Marine and said "I'm a conservative today not because i was born one but because of the experience i earned as a Marine in combat, my experience as a husband and father, my cohice to be a Christian, the schools i chose to attend the decision to pursue the career that i have."
After war, he got a Business Administration degree from Harvard as his focus is on the nation's spending and the military while Tammy is on education, healthcare and the local economy of Wisconsin.
Kevin has won the support of many MEGA DONORS from Republicans including Richard Uihlein who gave 3.5 million to a Super PAC
Kevin says he does not support open immigration no longer and now sees that America was made great because of CHRISTIAN VALUES and that's why he became a conservative. He said he saw the atrocity overseas and doesn't believe people from those countries should come to America because of security concerns and that his "liberal parents" don't get it.
He's a strong supporter of Donald Trump and says he opened the eyes of many former liberals that progressive values is a threat to America and that only conservatism is the way of life.
