Thank you for your honest input
I do but it's complicated and not what people think of as God usually. and when I try to explain it people get the wrong idea and laugh and mock me
Explain it bro, no judging from me

well you can just look in that topic about the asteroids that turned into a trainwreck
but I see it that might be some kind of force or energy that is behind the structure of the universe. I like to compare it to the Force in Star Wars just for an easy translation of what I am saying. but when I do that, people think I am saying I actually believe in the Star Wars Force. and that's not it at all. it's a very abstract thing. the best way I can put is that this energy has some kind of intelligence but not something that humans can comprehend and it doesn't think like us or like the normal gods earth usually believes in who are based on humans. maybe think of that "god" that Bender met in that lost in space episode of Futurama. except instead of a collection of computer parts or stars or whatever it was, it's something you can't see or touch.

I believe in the word of god, that which binds us under him. Fact is in this life if you don't humble yourself, prepare to be humbled.
Interesting theory bro, what makes you think that
Fact is in this life if you don't humble yourself, prepare to be humbled.
Yeah, I basically view the entire universe as a physical part of God. So we're all components of a unified being I'd call God. Whether this God has a separate will or consciousness is another story.

I've heard people say things like this before and I've never really quite understood it tbh. The universe is the universe. We all are what we are. I see no reason to try to unify it as one being and call it "god".

I don't think they mean the universe is the god from the bible but a different form of god. If you say everything is God then yes God exists.

In regards to the first part of your post, right I don't think that's what they mean either. In regards to the second part, it just feels like people are labeling it "god" just to label it god and call it god...cause they feel like it? And I just don't see the point personally.

I think it's just a way to feel a little better about things. Because yeah, functionally it's no different from atheism.

It's not a fact at all. We have no evidence that suggests an afterlife even exists, let alone a means of saying which one of our human ideas about the afterlife, if any, is correct. A study of near death experiences was undertaken, with one of the things they looked for was people actually being able to look down on their body during a near death experience. The results were negative. Moreover, if you take the time to read accounts of near death experiences, the "wisdom" people share often turns out to be wrong or is completely contradictory. People also tend to experience an afterlife like the one from their culture and religion. Is Jesus being accommodating when he dresses up like the Buddha?
