it's not always about raw power. but also I don't even rank Venom very high. i prefer the classic villains. venom was a product of that time when everything had to be "extreme" and people just wanted things to look cool. also, Venom is directly to blame for why spiderman 3 sucked, and why spiderman 4 was canceled. it was supposed to just be about Sandman. the studio forced Venom in there, and also the subplot with New Green Goblin I think too was an added thing.

Power wise theyre pretty much the same. Carnage is just more violent and crazy. Kind of like how Joker is incredibly weak as a villain, but his dangerousness is derived by his willingness to be violent and destructive with little rhyme or reason.

Seemed like the character was kinda just shoehorned into the movie.
I AM however looking forward to Tom Hardy as venom...

Events in the movies carry over to the show, not the other way around. Meaning outside of maybe a cameo they won't cross over from any show into the movies besides maybe Coulson. Marvel clarified this a few years ago.

Yeah no. Carnage is for sure more powerful than Venom. Something about the symbiote being incubated on earth.
