I remember back in either the late 90s or early 2000s most the network television shows added one in on an episode. I was watching friends and I heard Joey say "does a bear shit in the woods" and looked that up to make sure it's what I heard. What I found is all shows were allowed to use it once. Was around the time of the South park episode.
I think they can do it but use shit either sparingly or not at all. And saving private Ryan was shown uncensored a few times on network tv which has the f word.
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.
